Getting fired is never a good time. It’s awkward, stressful, and usually comes with that lingering lost feeling. But for one Florida guy, his worst workday didn’t just end with a pink slip it came with a prediction so bizarre, he’s still thinking about it years later.
Back when he was just 16, A Florida man named Scott landed a pretty typical first job at a local Subway. Nothing glamorous, just making subs, dealing with customers, and trying to survive the early days of employment like the rest of us. But according to him, the place ran on strict rules, especially when it came to portions.
However, the Florida man wasn’t exactly into that level of precision. “I was tired of people saying, ‘Could I get more olives?’” So when the boss wasn’t around, he admits he’d make sandwiches the way customers actually wanted them. However, the real issue was the stamps.
Florida Man Subway Story Raises Eyebrows
At the time, Subway had a loyalty system where customers earned stamps toward a free sandwich. Simple enough. But Scott noticed something: not everyone cared about collecting them. So he asked. If customers didn’t want their stamps, he took them. No sneaking or stealing, just collecting what others left behind. Over time, those unused stamps turned into full reward cards.
And one night, when he was out with friends who were hungry, he cashed in by handing over the cards so they could all eat for free at another location. However, when Scott showed up to grab his paycheck the next day, his boss was already waiting with evidence in hand.
“He’s like, ‘Did you steal from me?’” Scott says he tried to explain his side. From his perspective, he hadn’t taken anything that wasn’t offered up. But the owner clearly didn’t agree. “You’re fired.” And just like that, it was over.
Now here’s where things go from mildly dramatic to completely unexpected. Outside the store was a woman named Kate, someone Scott had gotten to know during his time working there. She was a familiar presence, part of his daily routine. So when he walked out, freshly fired, she noticed.
Will He Live Forever?
He told her what happened. Instead of sympathy, she offered something else entirely. “Do you want me to tell you your fortune?” Scott agreed. And what she told him wasn’t just encouraging, it was downright surreal.
“Scott, don’t worry about this situation. You are going to live forever,” she told him, also revealing that he would be rich as an adult.
“I hope you do live forever,” one person commented online. “Based on your hand, you’re definitely going to live forever!” said another. “Strange story,” a third person wrote.
For now, it seems that the Florida man is still alive. However, it remains to be seen if he’ll live forever and what his financial situation is. Either way, it was an interesting story.
