Ryan Seacrest Is Kelly Ripa’s New Co-Host, No One Is Surprised

Ryan Seacrest has officially been chosen as Kelly Ripa’s new permanent co-host. “Live! With Kelly and Ryan will soon be airing weekday mornings, and fans are not the least bit surprised by the choice.

According to the Inquisitr, Ryan Seacrest has his hand in nearly everything these days. The well-known host shot to fame after landing the job as the host of “American Idol” and has since created a very popular radio shot, hosted E! News, is a staple on the red carpet, and even produces television such as “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.” Most recently, Seacrest has become the face of New Year’s Eve, taking over as host of Dick Clark’s Rockin’ New Year’s Eve on the big night.

Kelly Ripa announced via Twitter on Sunday night that she would making the announcement about her permanent co-host on Monday, and now we know that the person chosen for the job is Ryan Seacrest. While some fans believed that Jerry O’Connell, Anderson Cooper, Andy Cohen, or Fred Savage would land the co-hosting gig, it seems that Kelly Ripa, and the show, though Seacrest was more fitting for the job.

Kelly Ripa has been hosting “Live” alone with a string of co-hosts for the past year since her former co-host, Michael Strahan abruptly announced his departure from the show, and decided to move over to “Good Morning America.” Ripa made no secret over feeling hurt by the move, especially since Strahan allegedly told Ripa of his decision to leave just 30 minutes before it was leaked in the media. Kelly took a long hiatus from the show following Strahan’s announcement. However, Kelly’s moved on, and now has a new partner in crime in Ryan Seacrest.
