‘Dancing With The Stars’ Spin-Off Ordered By ABC: ‘DWTS’ Junior
Dancing With The Stars is officially getting a spin-off show. That’s right, there’s more DWTS to come in the future, and fans couldn’t be more excited about it. According to TVLine, a new junior competition series is in the works at ABC, and it’s sure to be adorable.
Dancing With The Stars Junior will take celebrity children as well as children of celebrities and pair them with junior pro dancers to perform ballroom routines for a panel of judges, who will score them. The show seemingly will be much like it’s counterpart, but with more adorable contestants.
Currently, there is no word about whether or not the current Dancing With The Stars judges will return to judge Dancing With The Stars Junior. However, it seems that a couple of the judges, (We’re looking at you, Len Goodman.) may have to be a bit more kind if they decide to start scoring children on the spin-off show. The show is scheduled to start airing in the spring of 2018. There has been no casting confirmation at this point, but there are some pretty cute kids out there we’d like to see compete on the new dancing series.
ABC seems very vigilant about reality television for their upcoming season. In addition to the Dancing With The Stars Junior announcement, the network is also reviving American Idol and planning a Bachelor spin-off to compete with NBC’s Olympic winter games.
What are your thoughts on Dancing With The Stars Junior? Will you watch the pint-sized spin-off next year? Which celebrities kids would you like to see compete?
