“Dancing With The Stars” aired their dreaded first elimination on Tuesday night, and all of the stars seemed on edge about whether or not they would be the first one to go home. Ultimately, it was former “Wizards of Waverly Place” and “The Fosters” star, Jake T. Austin, who didn’t make the cut.
‘Dancing With The Stars’ Elimination: Jake T. Austin Goes Home
According to E! Online, Jake T. Austin said the feeling of being the first to go was “bittersweet,” as he had a great time doing the reality dancing competition. Unfortunately, someone had to go, and Tuesday was Jake’s night. Austin’s scores were sub-par over the first two nights of dancing. Jake and his partner Jenna Johnson earned a 22 out of 40 for their jive to “Kiss You” in week one, and a 24 out of 40 for week two’s TV theme, in which they danced to the theme song from “Go, Diego, Go!”
“I wish I could’ve done better. I mean, there’s mixed emotions. Overall I’m really lucky, I’m really happy,” Austin said after he was eliminated. “Just a little bummed out, other than that this was an awesome experience.”

“This was my worst fear to be honest with you. When we were standing on that stage I was like, ‘Please don’t let it be me.’ And it happened. You prepare for the worst, hope for the best. It was the opportunity of a lifetime,” Austin told us. “Learning from Jenna was an unforgettable experience and I mean that in every sense of the word. It was incredible.”
“Dancing With The Stars” return for week three on Monday night.
