Bret Michaels spends day off lending a helping hand for tornado victims
Bret Michaels is known for his strong stage personality and his kind heart when it comes to giving back. During one of his few and far between down days of touring Bret took time to lend a much needed hand to community in need.

On Monday Bret Michaels went to wok in Pilger , Neb as a volunteer when he and his band and road crew decided to lend some volunteer time helping victims clean up from the devastating tornado that reeked havoc in last weeks dangerous line of storms that plowed through the state.
The rock star with the heart of gold had no qualms about rolling up his sleeves and lending a helping hand with the clean up in the tornado stricken Nebraska town. Bret was also gracious enough to sign autographs for fans who were touched by his act of kindness.
Sadly during a dangerous and treacherous bad weather out break residents of a rural Nebraska town were devastated when a pair of killer twin tornado flatten the tiny town killing two of it’s residents.

“I just got that lump,” Michaels said, his hand on his throat, as he looked at the rubble. “Thinking about the children in this town, it takes your breath away.
“It’s one thing to see it on TV. But when you actually get out here, it’s completely different. I’ve never seen anything like this in my life,” Michaels said.
As previously reported, Bret Michaels recently resumed his summer tour schedule after experiencing another medical scare of his own back on May 30th.
Bret Michaels was forced to rush off the stage during his show in Manchester, N.H,. to be treated by paramedics after experiencing a medical emergency.
