Judge Judy Sheindlin, the tough TV judge that puts everyone in their places, and keeps them there when they come before her, and her husband Judge Jerry Sheindlin did something very memorable this past weekend, they officiated the marriage ceremony of their grandson Casey.
The wedding took place between Casey Baber and Olivia Weil. The couple first met in law school and the romance bloomed from their first meeting.
Judge Judy stated:
“To be able to officiate at the wedding of [my] first grandchild, to a spectacular woman… is just such a gift. I don’t think it gets any better,” Judy Sheindlin said of the experience. “The joy of being able to unite these two very special people is something that I don’t think I will ever forget.”
Judge Jerry also commented:
“That’s the first time I’ve ever seen her get so emotional. I thought a tear was going to come out of her eye,” Jerry joked.
Grandson Casey, like most typical grandchildren believes his grandma is the best ever.
“She really is the best grandmother,” an excited, Newly-wed Casey said. “I just lucked out. I always say she’s the best, and there’s nobody better than her.”
Judge Judy fans never really have a chance to see the other side of Judy, so it is a rare moment to find out that the big presence behind the desk is just like all other wives, mothers and grandmothers…well, maybe not just like, it is “Judge Judy” after all.
