“Family Guy”: Brian Griffin dies in one of the show’s most shocking episodes!
R.I.P. Brian Griffin. The “Family Guy” character was shockingly killed off during Sunday night’s all new episode on Fox.
Brian, the Griffin’s loyal and lovable pet dog was killed when a reckless driver ran over him as he was preparing to play street hockey with Stewie.
Of course, earlier in the episode Stewie had disassembled his time machine, so he was unable to go back in time and stop Brian’s death.
Although an animated show, “Family Guy” fans are sure to miss the Griffin’s dog, who was boy Peter and Stewie’s best friend.
However, the family did get a new dog named Vinny in the same episode. This is certainly an unexpected twist for “Family Guy” fans, who were a bit torn about Brian’s death.
Ok, not sure that I believe they really killed off Brian on Family Guy for good, but if they did…I hate it. A lot.

Brian griffin died last night. I know he was a pretentious cartoon dog, but it’s kinda sad. #familyguy

“This was an idea that got pitched in the writers room and it sort of caught fire, and we thought it could be a fun way to shake things up,” executive producer Steve Callaghan tells E! Online. ”We started talking about what the next couple episodes could be and we got very excited about the way this change will affect the family dynamics and the characters.”
