Christina Riccis is Lizzie Borden in the new Lifetime Netowork film, “Lizzie Borden Took An Axe,” and frankly, she’s scaring us a bit.
Lifetime is really stepping up their post-holiday programming. Not only is the “Flowers In The Attic” movie remake set to hit the network in January, but Christina Ricci’s “Lizzie Borden Took An Axe,” will premiere on January 25, and it looks frightening.
Of course, we love Lifetime movies, and are used to them being chalked full of drama, but the new Lizzie Borden film may have us shaking in our boots.
Ricci is taking on one of the most bizarre, and shocking murder cases to ever hit the United States, as Lizzie Borden, the woman who allegedly murdered both her parents with an axe, and got away with it.
The grizzly murder eventually inspired the haunting rhyme “Lizzie Borden took an axe, gave her mother forty whacks, when she saw what she had done, she gave her father forty-one.”
Scared yet? You will be when Christina Ricci portrays Lizzie Borden in the Lifetime original movie, “Lizzie Borden Took An Axe.”
