Actor Burt Reynolds health failing fast

Former box office star and sex symbol Burt Reynolds is struggling to survive with some major health and financial issues these days.

The National Enquirer reported Friday that Burt Reynolds is rapidly deteriorating and his close friends are very worried that Burt is now facing his final days.

“The Longest Yard” star is also said to be broke, and the tabloid’s sources have claimed that Burt has been shut out by his adopted son Quinton and his ex girlfriend Pam Seals.

“Burt is on borrowed time, and he’s living his final days in physical and emotional misery,” a source close to the actor told The Enquirer.

Reynolds has had a rough few years, he has been to rehab to deal with drug and alcohol addictions, been admitted into a psychiatric ward, and undergone major heart and back surgeries.

” He’s in tremendous pain from other injuries he suffered over the years, and he’s so feeble that his legs often buckle beneath him and he collapses,” claims an insider close to Reynolds.

Acting jobs come few and far between these days for the 76-year-old,but he keeps busy teaching acting classes at the Burt Reynolds Institute for Film & Theater in Jupiter, Fla.

Burt Reynolds at one time was a hot ticket for big screen films, making millions of dollars, but sadly in 2011 the aging movie star faced a foreclosure on his house in Hobe Sound.

The tabloid also claims that Burt Reynolds health is going down hill so fast that he now has a volunteer nurse who helps take care of him, adding that except for a couple of close friends, he is all alone.

Wikipedia writes that throughout the years Burt Reynolds has been linked with celebrities Tammy Wynette, Lucie Arnaz, Adrienne Barbeau, Susan Clark, Sally Field, Lorna Luft, Tawny Little, Pam Seals, Dinah Shore and Chris Evert. His relationship with Shore garnered particular attention given the fact she was 20 years his senior.

Reynolds was married to actress/comedienne Judy Carne from 1963 to 1965, and actress Loni Anderson from 1988 to 1993, with whom he adopted a son, Quinton Anderson Reynolds (born August 31, 1988).

Burt made his film debut in 1961 in the classic movie “Angel Baby,” but is best known for his roles in the pop culture hit “Smokey and the Bandit,” and has over 100 other film and TV credits under his belt.

Earlier this month an Enquirer reporter claimed that they watched as Burt Reynolds arrived outside his theater, parking his car very close to the building, while a number of people helped him from the car, as he slowly stumbled into the building.
